Subject: Creating significant activities for students during their holidays

Subject: Creating significant activities for students during their holidays
Problem Statement:
There are three main reasons why the School Break Activity named need to be held on the holidays of the students---they are the problems with their time management, the willingness working outside the camp which causes plenty of problems, and lack of knowledge with regards to environmental protection. First of all, some students cannot be controlled by their caregivers during their holidays as they realize that this is the time for them being able to do things they like. It causes many problems in the camp as well. Visiting their friends around the camp, they smoke, drink, and cause some bad things with their friends. Secondly, some students go outside the camp for daily waged work which causes the most serious problems. When they go outside the camp for work to get pocket money, they meet different people and the problems of drugs spark as this way. By virtue of the rough weather and the climate changes, they get health problems. There are some concerns with their health conditions. Finally, if we compare the students form the camp with other students from other places, the students from the camp usually are less knowledge about health and environment. In fact, the School Break Activity needs to be held to deal with all the problems with the students during their holidays.
Goal:
To be able to use their holidays wisely
Objectives:
1.      To be able to manage their significant time well and use them well for themselves
2.      To be interested in working for the community
3.      To be able to get to know each other
4.      To be able to work as a team
Activities:
This School Break Activity will be led by COERR and this School Break Activity will be in two parts:
1.      Tranings
(The health education trainings and the environmental protection trainings)
2.      Cleaning the whole camp by collecting wastes
The School Break Activity will take two days and it will be on October 19 and 20, 2012. In the morning, there will be trainings at the office regarding the environmental protection and the health education. And, the students and the staff will be working on collecting wastes around the camp chosen by the camp committee, in the afternoon. 200 students will be participated in the activity and the COERR’s staff will be involved in the activity as well. Moreover, each 20 students will be with one in charge when collecting wastes in the communities. As the activities are well organized, the activities hopefully will be implemented well and they will be very good fits for the students.

Outcomes & Results
After receiving the trainings, the students will be able to gain some knowledge about health, environmental purification, and some bad effects from the contaminations of environment. And, they will learn to be interested in working for the communities so that there can be many good leaders in the future and they will learn some management skills so that they can manage themselves well and they can elevate their lives effectively. The communities will also be cleaner and cleaner and it can protect diseases as well. Not only the students will be knowledgeable, but the communities will also be able to aware of their communities to keep them clean. We can prevent diseases by keeping our communities clean and tidy. I believe there are many good outcomes having this School Break Activity.
