	My father is deaf, he has been deaf ever since he was born. He used to be able to use a hearing aid to help him hear slightly, in spite of the fact that his hearing has degenerated to a point where they do not make a difference anymore. Yet, I have never felt this has made a difference. Always, he has been just as good, if not a better, father to me compared to others. I remember when in eighth grade there was a father –daughter dance. I really wanted to go, as it was my last year at my middle school and all my friends were going as well. And I begged my dad, and said yes, immediately, We went to the dance, and I had a great time. However. I didn’t realize until later the extent of what my dad did for me.  He couldn’t talk to any of the other dads, couldn’t hear the music, and couldn’t really participate all that well in the games. But, the whole evening, he didn’t give an indicator of the level of his discomfort. He just smiled, and let me have my night. My father still sacrifices. Recently, I was in a play, and I asked my dad to come see me in it. He agreed, and I set up an interpreter for the last night. But the interpreter never showed up. My dad couldn’t understand what was going on in the show, but when it was over, he still signed. I am stopping the letter from my heart here but I need to utter my feeling to all of my readers, my father who is the best from my born to die because of his action and sacrifices to me. And then, he means number one to me.
